About the Founder

Smriti Thakur,  the visionary behind Lavanya By Smriti (LBS), embarked on a journey that began in the serene hills of Himachal Pradesh. Growing up in an upper-middle-class family, Smriti was a very vibrant and sharp child whom her
parents wanted to see as an IAS officer or a doctor.

However when she went for college, she developed a deep desire to create something of her own—an entrepreneurial dream that would transcend the traditional confines of a job.

After completing her MSc Honors in Biochemistry, Smriti stepped into the corporate world as a Pharmacovigilance scientist with a multinational company. However, she quickly realized that this path was not where her heart truly belonged. The structured, predictable routine of a job left her yearning for more—a space where she could build something meaningful from scratch.

In 2016, Smriti's life took a turn as she got married, and in 2017, moved to the vibrant city of Bangalore. However, witnessing the fast-paced city life, long commutes, and a demanding job only further fueled her realization that her true calling lay elsewhere.
She began assisting her husband in his side business, but after the birth of
her daughter, Lavanya, she felt an even stronger pull towards a path that
aligned more with her passions.

It was during this period of reflection, prayer, and deep introspection that Smriti discovered her true purpose—Lavanya By Smriti was born. Driven by a fervent desire to make a difference, LBS is more than just a brand; it is an expression of Smriti’s vision to help women feel confident, elegant, and truly beautiful in their own skin.

With her unwavering determination and a heart full of gratitude, Smriti is committed to fulfilling this purpose with grace and dedication.
